Volvo Trucks to showcase fuel efficiency and uptime services at 2015 Mid-America Trucking Show

Volvo Trucks will bring the latest in fuel efficiency from aerodynamic and powertrain improvements to the 2015 Mid-America Trucking Show March 26 to 28 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Volvo's booth (No. 32125) includes 11 vehicles designed for regional haul, long haul, heavy haul and vocational segments of the Class 8 market and a section dedicated to Volvo's uptime services.

"Our product line reflects the wide range of applications for heavy-duty trucks and our efforts to optimize efficiency and performance for our customers' varying needs," said Göran Nyberg, president, Volvo Trucks North America. "Many of our latest models incorporate aerodynamic enhancements and application-specific torque management options that further increase the efficiency of our vehicles."

Most of the trucks on display at the Volvo booth feature an integrated powertrain with Volvo engines and a Volvo I-Shift automated manual transmission, and most of those are spec'd with Volvo's XE - eXceptional Efficiency - powertrain packages.

All trucks on display equipped with Volvo engines feature Volvo Remote Diagnostics, which monitors critical fault codes, enabling proactive diagnostics and repair planning to maximize uptime. Volvo made Remote Diagnostics standard on all Volvo-powered trucks in 2013. Remote Diagnostics is a central component of Volvo's uptime services, which also include 24/7 support, Volvo Action Service, and ASIST, Volvo's service management platform.
