Volvo Trucks Showcasing SuperTruck 2 and New Connectivity Services at ATA MCE

Volvo Trucks North America will showcase a portfolio of innovative transportation solutions for Class 8 trucks, including the advanced engineering innovations on its SuperTruck 2 and an announcement of a new fleet management tool, at the American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) 2023 Management Conference & Exhibition (MCE), taking place October 14-17, in Austin, Texas.

SuperTruck 2

Volvo Trucks’ SuperTruck 2 will make its first public appearance in the Volvo Trucks booth (#4097), providing a firsthand look at the advanced aerodynamics and weight reduction strategies that enabled the truck to beat both U.S. Department of Energy and internal freight efficiency goals. The styling and engineering cues from SuperTruck 2 are already being incorporated into the design of future generations of trucks.

October 15th Press Conference

During the Volvo Trucks’ press conference in its ATA MCE booth #4097 on Sunday, October 15, at 2:15 p.m. CT (3:15 p.m. ET), Voorhoeve will announce Volvo Trucks’ latest and most innovative tool to date that enables fleets to monitor and maintain the health of their vehicles through unprecedented connectivity access to vehicle insights and reporting, allowing fleets to maximize vehicle performance. Voorhoeve will also spotlight ongoing efforts to support the electromobility transition globally — from the continuous expansion of its Volvo Trucks Certified EV Dealer network to helping customers navigate evolving regulatory compliance mandates and more.

October 16th Fireside Chat

Volvo Trucks will host a fireside chat at its booth on Monday, October 16, at 3 p.m. CT (4 p.m. ET) to discuss key findings and successes related to the SuperTruck 2 program. Keith Brandis, vice president, partnerships and strategic solutions at Volvo Trucks North America, and Eric Bond, principal engineer, Volvo Trucks North America, will answer questions surrounding the program and the company’s approach to meeting the U.S. Department of Energy’s freight efficiency goals.

ATA’s 2023 MCE provides an opportunity for trucking industry leaders to network, problem solve, and discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the transportation sector under the theme, “The Rhythm of Change: Navigating the Future of Trucking.”
