Auto transport can be tough on equipment and drivers. So, we began the Volvo VAH with many of the same heavy-duty features found in our off-road vocational vehicles. Everywhere you look on this vehicle you’ll find durable construction and improvements that help you deliver your load with greater safety, efficiency, and comfort.

Keep a low profile

The VAH is the clear-cut choice for auto transporters looking for a premium ride that offers premium profits. Designed to enhance body mounting and payload capacity, allowing transport up to 11 vehicles.

Remote start

The optional Remote Start feature allows drivers to start or stop the engine from outside the cab, while the PTO is engaged, using a switch which can be mounted to the rear of the cab. It also includes an in-cab switch on the left side of the dash, which is accessible from the ground. Remote Start provides greater productivity and improved fuel savings.

Superior lighting

The VAH provides enhanced visibility with unique daytime running lights. All turn, marker, and parking lamps utilize LED technology. An optional heating feature is available for de-icing.

Volvo Active Driver Assist

The next generation Volvo Active Driver Assist (VADA) system integrates radar and camera capabilities with a variety of on-board safety features.

Integrated camera and radar

VADA brings together two important views of the road for improved safety. The system’s radar monitors up to 500 feet ahead of the driver. That data is enhanced with an onboard camera that is constantly observing the road whenever the vehicle is above 5 miles per hour.

Heads up display

A collision warning light is projected as a red bar in the windshield when a vehicle or other object is too close. The driver is alerted up to 3 seconds before an impending event.

Daycab configuration offers a tight turning radius for easier maneuvering in urban areas or on crowded dealer lots. Loads of up to 11 vehicles are possible. Available with a 94.5 or 97.5-inch roof height (Fontaine models 94.5 or 97.5).
