“Our two award winners played a key role in helping to increase market share and customer satisfaction for Volvo Trucks as they remained focused on delivering quality vehicles and services in another challenging year,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president of Volvo Trucks North America.
Volvo Trucks North America recently announced an expansion to its Remote Diagnostics bundle by adding three new updateable modules to the Remote Programming service. The focus is on maximizing uptime by enabling routine software updates and parameter setting changes to occur while the truck is being loaded or the driver is taking a break, which can decrease unnecessary stops at the dealership and keep trucks running efficiently.
“Working in close collaboration with our dealer partners, Volvo Trucks is committed to helping customers log more miles using less fuel. The CVA tool includes a robust dashboard where dealers can monitor how fleet customers are operating their Volvo trucks and where there are opportunities to optimize their efficiency and productivity by enhanced spec’ing,” said Johan Agebrand, director, product marketing, Volvo Trucks North America.
“The Volvo Blue service contract is an enabler for best-in-class uptime. This new form of premium, adaptive maintenance is managed by the local connected dealership, who is monitoring the truck’s state-of-health and operations 24/7 by utilizing a suite of over-the-air services on-board the truck,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America.
“Volvo Trucks is leading the deployment of Class 8 battery-electric trucks across North America by collaborating with our dealer network to provide customers comprehensive sales and service support,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America.
“I-Torque is designed to provide increased fuel mileage by combining the advantages of direct drive with the performance and flexibility of overdrive. Properly spec'd trucks are seeing up to 8.5 miles per gallon at speeds of 55-85 miles per hour, depending on the truck weight and terrain of the route” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America.
“Volvo Trucks continues to expand our network of technology partners and service providers to provide comprehensive electromobility solutions that enable our fleet customers to streamline the deployment of Volvo VNR Electric trucks,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America.
“As we continue the journey of decarbonizing transport with our customers, we are rolling out new features and services for every part of that transition — accelerating our ongoing expansion of the electromobility ecosystem with new service offerings. We are also proud to announce a first of its kind dynamic service offering to the North American market, which is paired with enhanced connectivity” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America.
We believe in leading by example, and this project is an important part of our strategy to create a world-class, sustainable transport system ,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America. “By collaborating with our local carrier partners to deploy our own zero-tailpipe emission VNR Electric trucks to service our plants, we are able to improve sustainability within our value chain and in the communities in which our own employees work and families live.
Volvo Trucks in 2022 executed its best performance in the company’s history. The global truck manufacturer delivered 145,195 trucks in 2022, an increase of 19% from 2021, when 122,525 trucks were delivered. Volvo Trucks also increased its market share in the heavy truck segment (≥ 16 tonnes) in 41 markets globally. The record deliveries and market share increase should be seen in the light of supply chain shortages that prevailed throughout the year.
